    Across India, heavy rainfall is currently occurring, from the mountains to the plains. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for widespread rain, thunderstorms, and lightning strikes across the country in the coming days. Several states may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall. Landslides in hilly and coastal areas, flooding in low-lying regions, and lightning strikes are possible.

    The Meteorological Department predicts rain in the national capital, Delhi, for the next five days, until August 18. According to the weather department, Delhi may experience thunderstorms with rain today. The sky may remain cloudy tomorrow as well, accompanied by moderate rainfall. The weather will be pleasant in Delhi on August 15, Independence Day, with thunderstorms and rain expected. The weather is expected to be similar on the 16th. Rain is also possible in Delhi on August 17th. On August 18th, there may be rain or showers with thunder.
