Union Minister Chirag Paswan has stated that Rahul Gandhi’s recent comments on elections suggest he has already conceded defeat in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Paswan criticized Gandhi, suggesting he should focus on introspection within his own party, the Congress, rather than criticizing constitutional bodies like the Election Commission. Paswan believes Gandhi’s accusations of election manipulation and EVM malfunctions are signs of his acceptance of defeat. He further predicted electoral losses for the Congress in other states like Assam and Bengal. Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav supported Gandhi’s criticisms of the Election Commission, accusing the BJP of controlling constitutional institutions. Yadav claimed that the BJP’s IT cell is aware of election schedules before they are officially announced. Rahul Gandhi, in a recent post on X, criticized the Election Commission’s response to allegations regarding Maharashtra polls, claiming it was evasive.
