Clashes in Patna: BJP and Congress Engage in Confrontation Over Alleged Insults Against PM Modi and His Mother

Violence erupted in Patna, Bihar, as members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress party clashed on Friday. The situation escalated with stone-pelting as the BJP staged a protest in front of the Congress office in Patna. Nitin Nabin, a Bihar Minister and BJP leader, declared that the public would provide a strong response to the Congress, emphasizing the insult to a mother. Ashutosh, a Congress worker, countered by criticizing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, alleging government involvement in the clash. Authorities in Darbhanga arrested a man accused of making abusive statements against PM Modi, as confirmed by Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Chaudhary. The incident stems from an alleged video circulating online, prompting condemnation from BJP leaders who criticized the Opposition’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ for the offensive language used. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath condemned the remarks, calling them an insult to the Indian people. Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav also voiced strong disapproval, demanding an apology from the Congress and RJD. The Opposition has responded, accusing the BJP of using ‘irrelevant’ issues to distract from other matters.
