CM Mohan Yadav Announces ₹3000 Monthly for Ladli Behna Yojana Beneficiaries by 2028

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that women under the Ladli Behna Yojana will receive ₹3000 monthly by the year 2028. Speaking at the TV9 Bharatvarsh’s Satta Sammelan, he addressed criticism from the Congress party, who had previously questioned the scheme’s motives. Yadav highlighted the phased increase in payments, starting from ₹1000 before the elections, followed by ₹1250, and then ₹1500 during the Sawan month, with the same amount to be given after Diwali. He emphasized the commitment to eventually reach ₹5000. Yadav contrasted this with the Congress’s governance, which, he said, lacked financial provisions. He further stated that the government aims to support women’s economic independence, including facilitating employment opportunities in sectors like readymade garments, where women could earn ₹10,000-₹12,000 monthly with additional government support of ₹5000. He mentioned a positive survey highlighting improvements in children’s health, education, and home environments due to the scheme, thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support. Yadav also addressed the addition of new beneficiaries to the scheme, stating that a review is underway and new names will be added later, along with initiatives to create ‘lakhpati sisters’ through self-help groups.
