Delhi’s Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, inaugurated a hotline maintenance vehicle in Shalimar Bagh. She highlighted the significance of the vehicle, a contribution from the power department, designed to repair electricity wires without disrupting power supply. The vehicle, costing approximately 1.5 crore rupees, is part of a larger plan to introduce more such vehicles. During the event, the CM expressed her deep connection to the Shalimar Bagh constituency, which she described as her ‘heart’s piece,’ emphasizing her three-year investment in its development. The CM also mentioned the upcoming responsibility of the Member of Parliament (MP) in overseeing future projects in the area. A new Chhath Ghat will be constructed on the Munak Canal, with an estimated cost of 40 crore rupees. The CM noted that the canal, which flows through Delhi, will be prepared for Chhath Puja. Furthermore, the CM discussed various development initiatives in Shalimar Bagh, including the installation of streetlights at a cost of 94 lakh rupees and road widening projects connecting to the Ring Road. Other projects include road improvements near Guru Gobind Singh College and the construction of a new senior secondary school and a community hall in Haiderpur. Delhi’s Power Minister, Ashish Sood, emphasized the importance of these developments, particularly the new hotline maintenance vehicle, which will prevent power outages during repairs. He highlighted the government’s focus on leveraging technology to enhance governance and infrastructure.
