Uttar Pradesh’s dynamic Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath demonstrated unwavering solidarity with the Hindu spiritual community by visiting the ailing Nrietya Gopal Das Maharaj at Medanta Hospital in Lucknow. The head of the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, central to the Ayodhya Ram Temple project, is currently under intensive care for a gastrointestinal crisis.

Taking to X, Yogi detailed his hospital visit: he personally met the Mahant, assessed his health status, and consulted with physicians on the treatment plan. Expressing optimism, the CM invoked divine blessings for Maharaj’s prompt return to health.

Admitted after collapsing into unconsciousness, the 85-year-old saint suffers from acute intestinal infection manifesting as severe diarrhea. Rushed to ICU, he is receiving round-the-clock attention from top medical experts. This episode echoes a hospitalization in September last year, amid ongoing battles with urinary disorders and nutritional deficiencies since 2019.

Nrietya Gopal Das, born in 1938 in Mathura’s Kerahala, ascended as Mahant of Maniramdas Chhavni and president of the trust formed post-1993 Babri events by VHP. His visionary leadership has driven the Ram Mandir’s construction, alongside developments like Ramayan Bhawan and multiple sacred temples in Ayodhya.

Decades of activism in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement define his legacy, from grassroots mobilization to overseeing the temple’s monumental rise. Yogi’s visit underscores the deep bond between state leadership and religious figures instrumental in cultural revival.

With the trust’s work progressing amid this health setback, devotees worldwide unite in prayer. Medical updates remain pivotal, as Maharaj’s resilience has time and again defied odds, fueling hopes for another miraculous recovery.
