In a blistering attack, BJP leader Pratul Shah Dev has charged Congress with directly supporting India’s partition by adopting Jinnah’s proposal at its convention. Addressing multiple hot-button topics from Ranchi, Dev rebutted Digvijay Singh’s claims, delved into Ram Setu disputes, Shankaracharya incidents, and Bangladesh unrest.
The partition debate ignited when Dev confronted Singh’s narrative. ‘No one can hide the fact that Congress endorsed Jinnah’s demands in their session. Leaders linked to that tragedy owe an apology before lecturing others,’ he said in his IANS interview.
Dev passionately defended Sanatan Dharma amid Ram Setu rows. Lord Ram, the Maryada Purushottam, stands as an eternal ideal. Yet, Congress in 2007 bowed to shipping lobbies, deeming Ram Setu fictional and pushing for its destruction. Tamil Nadu’s controversial rituals further exemplified attacks on traditions that BJP staunchly opposes.
Explaining the Sangam Ghat episode, Dev noted the administration’s proactive measures. Without advance intimation, the Shankaracharya’s procession was stopped short of the ghat amid swelling crowds to avert chaos. Disciples’ insistence led to tensions, but prioritizing safety was non-negotiable.
Shifting to international concerns, Dev warned of rising persecution against Hindus in Bangladesh pre-elections. ‘Extremists are engineering unrest to derail the February 12 vote and foster division,’ he claimed, calling on Dhaka to act decisively.
Amid discussions on US trade policies and Greenland, Dev praised Modi’s era for fortifying India’s economy. While global giants grapple with tariffs, India’s consistent GDP surge over 11 years underscores visionary leadership and economic fortitude.
