In light of the recent changes to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) implemented by the Indian government, Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party are sharing older social media posts. The Congress party claims that the BJP is finally acknowledging its past mistakes, while the Congress has been critical of the GST from the beginning. Rahul Gandhi has shared his older tweets, including one from 2017, where he advocated for a single GST rate with an 18% cap. He had stated that if the BJP didn’t act, the Congress would. The government has introduced several significant changes to the GST, which will be implemented across the country from September 22nd. These changes aim to provide relief to the public, with GST rates now limited to 5% and 18%, while the 12% and 28% tax brackets have been removed.
