Karnataka Congress leader and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar recently stirred controversy in the state assembly. Shivakumar sang the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) anthem during a session on Thursday. The act immediately drew sharp criticism from the BJP, leading to speculation about Shivakumar’s political affiliations.

Facing scrutiny, DK Shivakumar issued a clarification. This followed conjecture that Shivakumar might be considering joining the BJP. He stated, “I am a Congressman by birth and will remain with the Congress for life. There is no intention of joining hands with the BJP.”
