In a captivating ceremony at Mumbai’s Lok Bhavan, Governor of Gujarat and Maharashtra Acharya Devvrat launched ‘Ghosts, Horror and Hills’, a riveting collection by acclaimed author Aditya Kant. Known for his earlier work ‘High on Kasol’, Kant delivers 18 chilling yet heartwarming stories that challenge conventional horror tropes.

The Governor lauded Kant’s ingenuity in using supernatural elements to convey profound messages of social good and optimism. ‘Ghosts are creations of the human psyche,’ he remarked, applauding the positive spins on varied subjects that inspire readers to embrace sensitivity.

Devvrat emphasized sensitivity’s pivotal role in personal and societal growth, particularly for young people striving for constructive change. Books, he added, serve as lifelong friends, providing mental peace and resilience in turbulent times.

Kant opened up about his ICU ordeal during the pandemic, where proximity to death fueled his commitment to helping others afflicted by COVID. These real-life insights permeate the book, underscoring themes of mutual support and ecological consciousness through its ghostly yarns.

Attendees included prominent personalities like Karuna Badwal from Red Chillies Entertainment, composer Sanjeev Vadhwani, director Rajan Khosa, and luminaries from the media and entertainment sectors. The event underscored literature’s power to blend thrill with transformative ideas.
