    A stampede at the Mansa Devi temple in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, has resulted in a tragic increase in the death toll, reaching 8. The District Administration has reported that approximately 30 individuals sustained injuries. Emergency responders rushed the injured to hospitals for immediate medical attention. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the fire brigade swiftly arrived on the scene to conduct rescue operations. The incident occurred around 9 am on Sunday, as a large gathering of devotees was making its way towards the hilltop shrine. According to one of the injured, the crowd became unmanageable just before entering the temple premises, leading to the unfortunate event. Authorities are investigating the cause, while the temple has been reopened for darshan with implemented safety measures.
