A Haryana-based model, Sheetal aka Simmi Chaudhary, was discovered dead on Sunday night. Her body was recovered from a canal in the Kharkhoda area of Sonipat district. Authorities suspect foul play, as Sheetal was found with a slit throat. The model, who hailed from Panipat, was identified by tattoos on her hands and chest.
Sheetal was known for her work in Haryanvi music videos. She lived with her sister, Neha, in Khalila Majra. Neha had reported her missing on Sunday. It is reported that Sheetal was assaulted by her boyfriend during a shooting on June 14th. During a video call, Sheetal informed her sister about the attack and said she would be home shortly. She also mentioned a neck injury. However, she never returned home that day. Her friend’s car was later found near the canal.
Kharkhoda police have launched an investigation and are in contact with her sister to confirm the identification. The arrival of Sheetal’s family from Panipat is awaited.
