In the Vice Presidential election, NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan defeated INDIA’s Sudarshan Reddy by 152 votes. Radhakrishnan secured 452 votes, while Reddy received 300. The INDIA alliance had 315 MPs, but the vote count was lower than expected, leading to speculation about cross-voting. Sources suggest that some MPs who cross-voted were from the Maha Vikas Aghadi. The NDA gained 10 to 13 extra votes through this cross-voting. INDIA is currently investigating which parties within the alliance these 10 to 13 MPs belong to. A total of 752 valid and 15 invalid votes were cast in the election. The winning candidate required 377 votes. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut questioned the claims of cross-voting, suggesting it was propagated by some within the NDA. He stated that they received the expected number of votes, and the 15 invalid votes were recorded against Sudarshan Reddy. However, for some reason, these votes were declared invalid.
