India has strongly refuted accusations by Pakistan that New Delhi was responsible for a recent suicide bombing in Islamabad, calling it a ‘predictable tactic’ aimed at deflecting attention. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson stated that the international community recognizes Pakistan’s consistent efforts to fabricate narratives. These claims, deemed ‘baseless and unfounded’ by India, are seen as a desperate attempt by Pakistani leadership to shift public focus away from internal political turmoil and a ‘military-inspired constitutional subversion.’ The suicide blast, which occurred near a police vehicle outside a court in Islamabad, tragically claimed 12 lives and injured 36 others. Pakistani officials described the incident as a suicide attack where the perpetrator detonated explosives after failing to enter the court. While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, Pakistan’s Prime Minister has reiterated its stance, blaming India for state-sponsored terrorism. This assertion comes shortly after a separate deadly blast in New Delhi. Investigations into the Islamabad bombing are ongoing, with authorities prioritizing the identification of the attacker.
