    The Indian government has expressed its concern regarding the reported demolition of the ancestral property of the renowned filmmaker and writer Satyajit Ray in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. The Ministry of External Affairs has stated India’s willingness to collaborate with the Bangladeshi government to repair and reconstruct the property. The ministry emphasized the building’s historical significance, highlighting it as a symbol of the Bangla cultural renaissance and advocating for its preservation as a museum of literature. Satyajit Ray, born in Kolkata in 1921, is celebrated for his extensive contributions to cinema, literature, and the arts, and his works have garnered numerous accolades.
