A shocking incident has occurred in Ranchi, Jharkhand, where a five-year-old girl was reportedly raped. The child was attending a wedding when the alleged perpetrator lured her to a secluded garden under the pretext of offering mangoes, and committed the act.
The incident came to light when the bloodied girl returned home, crying. Her family immediately understood what had happened and rushed her to the CSC in Chanho for initial treatment. Due to the severity of her condition, she was later referred to RIMS hospital in Ranchi.
Following the incident, the accused, identified as Karmadev Urav, was severely beaten by enraged locals. Police intervened and rescued him from the crowd, taking him into custody. A case has been registered against him under the POCSO Act and other relevant sections based on the family’s complaint.
