Complaints Pertaining to COs Predominate at Minister’s Public Grievance Forum

Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari held a public grievance forum at the Congress Bhavan in Ranchi to provide swift solutions to public issues. The minister directed relevant departmental officials to address the problems brought forward. A total of 97 individuals presented their grievances, prompting the minister to initiate immediate action and instruct officials to find resolutions. Among the cases, there were five related to health center construction, 12 from the supply department, 13 concerning medical issues, seven related to employment, eight regarding disaster management, 13 pertaining to ration cards, seven related to transfers, and 22 concerning land disputes, alongside various other departmental issues. The minister directly instructed officials in several instances and urged them to expedite solutions. He also requested updates on the progress of the work. Grievances were presented by residents from various districts, including Ranchi, Gumla, Dhanbad, Palamu, Chatra, Giridih, Hazaribagh, and Khunti. The minister addressed the media, stating that a significant number of complaints were received, with land-related issues being prominent. The most frequent complaints concerned COs, who were alleged to be supporting land mafias. The minister directed officials to act in the public interest. Additionally, complaints related to drinking water, police stations, urban development, health, and food supply were also addressed. The minister expressed his commitment to resolving these issues, stating that he aims to serve the public to the best of his ability. Approximately 90 percent of the issues have been resolved, with the remaining ones facing some technical hurdles that will be addressed in due course. He assured that action would be taken on all applications and highlighted the mutual benefits of the public grievance forum for both the public and the organization. This initiative is seen as a positive step, encouraging public participation when their issues are addressed.
