Following the early arrival of the southwest monsoon, several states experienced heavy rainfall. However, the torrential downpours have now subsided. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) currently forecasts normal weather conditions across the country. Delhi-NCR, along with several other states, is once again facing the brunt of intense heat.

In the capital city of Delhi, the heat is making a comeback after the recent rains. According to the weather department, there is no likelihood of rain in Delhi in the coming days. The weather will remain clear today, with a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius. From tomorrow until June 14, the temperature could remain above 40 degrees Celsius. This means Delhi residents will have to endure the heat for the next 5 days.

    **Heat Grips Uttar Pradesh**

Uttar Pradesh is experiencing severe heat. The state is currently witnessing strong sunshine during the day, leading to significant heat. The weather department indicates no chance of rain in the state until June 11. From June 9 to 11, heatwaves are likely to affect Bundelkhand, Vindhya, and adjacent areas. From June 11, easterly winds may become active in eastern Uttar Pradesh, potentially initiating rainfall.

    **Weather in Bihar and Jharkhand**

Most districts in Bihar will have dry weather today. Patna, the state’s capital, may see a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 27 degrees Celsius. The weather department has issued a warning for the resumption of rain from June 10. Until then, the state may experience humid heat. The maximum and minimum temperatures could rise by up to four degrees. Meanwhile, the capital of Jharkhand, Ranchi, and several other districts may experience light rain and thunderstorms in the evening.

**Intense Heat in These States, Rain in Northeast India**

Heatwaves may occur in western Rajasthan from June 8-11, in Punjab and Haryana from June 9-11, and in northern Madhya Pradesh on June 9 and 10. This will lead to intense heat in these regions. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall may occur in South India and the northeastern states from June 10. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in most areas of Northeast India over the next 7 days.

    **What About the Hilly Regions?**

Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are likely to experience intense heat. In the hilly areas of Uttarakhand, there is strong sunshine, which is causing the heat to be felt. However, the weather on the mountains will change rapidly. There is a possibility of rain in many areas of Himachal Pradesh on June 12-13.
