Displaced Persons Commission to be Formed After Cabinet Approval: Birua

Minister Deepak Birua stated that the process of forming the Displaced Persons Commission has been completed and the matter is pending at the cabinet level. He assured that the commission would be established soon after the cabinet’s approval. The minister made these remarks in response to a question from JKLM MLA Jayram Mahato during the monsoon session after the lunch break on Thursday. Jayram Mahato expressed concern that the state government is not addressing the problems of the displaced persons in the state, only providing assurances. He pointed out that the government had promised to form the commission within 90 days last year, but no action has been taken yet.
