First Tribal Girl in Jharkhand Village Passes Matriculation, Aims to Become a Teacher to Transform the Village

In a significant milestone for the tribal community of a Jharkhand village, a young girl named Chand Muni Kumari has become the first from her village to pass the matriculation exam, 76 years after India’s independence. The entire village is celebrating her achievement, as she secured a second-class in the examination. Chand Muni Kumari, a student of Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya, Tenughat, was honored by local social workers Manoj Kumar Pahariya and Anita Kumari. Her father is a migrant worker, and her mother is a homemaker. Chand Muni aspires to become a teacher to educate the children of her community and uplift her village. Minister Yogendra Prasad has announced that he will meet and honor Chand Muni and her parents, along with offering support for her higher education. The BDO of Gomia block has also stated that Chand Muni will be felicitated at the school on Independence Day.
