A shocking incident of violence has occurred in the Khunti district of Jharkhand. On Friday night, two friends riding a motorcycle were attacked by assailants. One of the youths died at the scene, while the other was seriously injured. Police arrived promptly after being notified by villagers. The body has been taken into custody and sent for a post-mortem examination. The search for the perpetrators is underway.
The two young men were returning home to Khatanga village from the Saiko weekly market. Near the Kochadih village bridge, the attackers threw chili powder into their eyes, causing them to lose control and fall off the bike. The assailants, who arrived on two other motorcycles, then attacked Choyta Sarukad with a sharp weapon, resulting in his death.
Singa Munda, the other youth, sustained serious injuries. The attackers fled the scene. Villagers discovered the incident late at night and alerted authorities. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital, where Choyta Sarukad was declared dead. Police from Murhu police station reached the hospital immediately. Based on the injured youth’s statements, a case has been registered and the search for the accused has begun. Police have assured that the perpetrators will be apprehended soon.
