A tragic road accident occurred in Giridih’s Bengabad police station area on Thursday morning when an auto-rickshaw overturned, resulting in the death of one person and serious injuries to four others, including a young child. The incident took place near the Dudhi Tand toll plaza on the Giridih-Madhupur main road.
Eyewitness accounts suggest the auto was carrying a family from Kashitand to Budhai for a mundan ceremony. Near the toll plaza, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn. Ramchandra Pasi (58), a resident of Machhuar, tragically passed away in the accident. The four other occupants sustained severe injuries and were promptly admitted to the hospital with the assistance of local villagers. Police arrived at the scene upon receiving information and have begun an investigation into the mishap.
