Following a period of pleasant weather due to May rainfall, Delhi and several other states are now experiencing a heatwave in June. The temperature in the capital city reached 45 degrees Celsius on Monday, with scorching heat throughout the day. The NCR region suffered due to clear skies and intense sunshine. The scorching heat is expected to continue, with a maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 29 degrees Celsius. Dust-laden winds and heatwaves are likely to persist, with relief expected from June 13th, as the weather department forecasts rain from that date.

Uttar Pradesh is also grappling with high temperatures. The weather department has issued an orange alert for heatwaves in various districts. Rainfall is expected to return from tomorrow, with an alert for rain and thunderstorms in 60% of the districts on June 12th.

Bihar is not expected to get respite from the heat today, but the weather is set to change late tonight. Heavy rainfall is expected from tomorrow with the arrival of the monsoon, anticipated around June 15th. Light rain is possible in some districts tonight, and heavy rainfall is expected across Bihar from tomorrow. Jharkhand will also see a weather change today, with strong winds and rainfall in several districts from today until June 14th.

Rajasthan is once again experiencing high temperatures, with a high of 47.3 degrees Celsius in Sri Ganganagar. The weather department forecasts dry weather and heatwaves for most parts of western Rajasthan for the next week. Light rain with thunder is possible in the Kota and Bharatpur divisions on June 15-16. Haryana and Punjab are also expected to face intense heat this week.
