Extensive security measures are in place for the upcoming One Day International (ODI) cricket match between India and South Africa, scheduled for November 30th at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi. Police have implemented stringent arrangements to ensure a safe and secure environment for players and spectators alike. A significant deployment of approximately 5,000 security personnel will be on duty, covering every corner of the stadium and its surroundings. This robust security detail includes specialized units such as the ATS (Anti-Terrorist Squad) and IRB (Indian Reserve Battalion), along with RAP (Rapid Action Police), district police forces, and a dedicated contingent of female police officers. Overseeing these operations will be six IPS officers, 15 DSPs, and over 30 station house officers, ensuring comprehensive command and control. Firefighting units and water cannon teams will also be strategically positioned both inside and outside the stadium. Additional security has been reinforced at the Radisson Blu hotel, where the players will be residing. Senior officials are continuously monitoring the situation at both the hotel and the stadium premises. Authorities have confirmed that over 5,000 personnel are deployed, emphasizing the commitment to providing secure and impenetrable security for this high-profile sporting event. Plainclothes police officers will also be integrated into the security network, with instructions for constant patrolling given to all station house officers.
