Jharkhand BJP MLA Denied Room at Delhi’s Jharkhand Bhawan, Protests

Dr. Kushwaha Shashi Bhushan Mehta, BJP MLA from Panki, Jharkhand, expressed his disappointment after being denied a room at the Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi. Despite confirming his reservation for two rooms earlier, he was informed at the reception that only one room was booked in his name, with no other rooms available. In protest, the MLA sat on the floor at the reception and had his breakfast there. He questioned the purpose of the Jharkhand Bhawan, constructed at a significant cost, and demanded action against those responsible for the mismanagement. He urged Chief Minister Hemant Soren to ensure proper accommodation for Jharkhand MLAs. The modern, seven-story Jharkhand Bhawan, inaugurated on September 3, 2024, boasts 50 guest rooms and suites for VIPs, including separate accommodations for the Governor, Chief Minister, Chief Justice, and Chief Secretary.
