Jharkhand Father Arrested for Repeatedly Abusing Daughter, Faces Charges Under POCSO Act

In a disturbing case from the Tatisilve police station area of Ranchi district, Jharkhand, a father, a soldier by profession, has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing his own daughter. The heinous acts reportedly began when the girl was a child and continued for years. The abuse came to light when the victim, now 16 and having completed her plus two education, mustered the courage to report the incidents to the police. Despite facing pressure from her mother, who feared societal repercussions, the girl persisted in seeking justice. The father, a havildar currently posted in Rajasthan, was apprehended and jailed following the complaint. Police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and initiated a medical examination of the victim. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have vowed to take strict action against the perpetrator.
