A man in Gumla district, Jharkhand, created a dramatic scene by climbing a mobile tower and threatening suicide following a dispute with his father and brother over property. The incident, reminiscent of a scene from the Bollywood film ‘Sholay,’ where the hero threatens villagers, caused a commotion in the village of Kotam. The 25-year-old, identified as Ritesh Kumar Singh, also known as Babu, who is addicted to alcohol, escalated the situation after a disagreement regarding property division. After assaulting his wife, he climbed the 100-foot tower, leading to a tense standoff. Police arrived at the scene, and after a three-hour negotiation, he was brought down, sustaining minor injuries. He was subsequently taken to the hospital. The incident mirrors a similar event in 2023 in Ranchi, where a man climbed a high-tension electrical tower due to a domestic dispute.
