Minister Yogendra Prasad’s Brother, Bharat Kapoor, Passes Away; Son Performs Last Rites

Bharat Kapoor, the younger brother of Minister Yogendra Prasad, was cremated on Thursday morning at the banks of the Damodar River in Borobing. The funeral procession commenced at 8 AM, with Minister Yogendra Prasad, his middle brother Chitragupt Mahto, and the minister’s elder son, Vinay Kapoor, among others, carrying the bier. Aditya Kapoor, son of Bharat Kapoor, performed the final rites. Thousands of workers, supporters, and well-wishers were present. Numerous leaders and ministers paid their respects, including JMM Central Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya and State Minister Fagu Besra. Giridih MP Chandraprakash Choudhary and MLA Roshanlal Choudhary were among the dignitaries who visited Kapoor’s residence to offer condolences. The Vice President of Bokaro ZP, the head of Kasmar, and JMM officials from Bokaro and Ramgarh districts, along with thousands from the Gomia assembly constituency and Ramgarh district, also attended. Bharat Kapoor passed away on July 2 at AIG Hospital in Hyderabad after battling an illness for nine days.
