Muharram Tragedy in Giridih: One Dead, Several Injured in Electrocution During Procession

A tragic incident occurred in Giridih during a Muharram procession, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. The accident happened in the Chokosinha area of the Khorimahua sub-division, where a steel structure used in the procession came into contact with a high-voltage power line. The ensuing electrocution caused immediate harm, with two individuals critically injured and one person succumbing to their injuries at the scene. Several others sustained minor injuries and are receiving medical attention. The incident has cast a pall of mourning over the Muharram celebrations.
