    A significant breakthrough has been achieved by security forces in their efforts to make Jharkhand free from Naxalism and extremism. Influenced by the Jharkhand government’s surrender and rehabilitation policy, nine extremists from the banned extremist organization Jharkhand Janmukti Parishad (JJMP) surrendered in the Latehar district on Monday, along with 12 high-tech weapons. Over 20 lakh rupees in rewards had been announced for five of these extremists. Senior officials from the Jharkhand Police and CRPF were present during the surrender. Large-scale operations are underway in Jharkhand against Naxal and extremist activities. Security forces are continuously taking action, eliminating them. Simultaneously, a large number of extremists are also surrendering. This recent event occurred in the Latehar district, where nine extremists from the banned organization ‘Jharkhand Janmukti Parishad’ surrendered in the presence of senior police and CRPF officials. These individuals also surrendered 12 advanced weapons to the police, including 04 AK-47s, 01 AK-56, 03 SLRs, 02 .303 rifles, and 01 semi-rifle, totaling 12 weapons. Additionally, 1782 rounds of ammunition and 26 magazines were also handed over. The government had announced a total reward of 23 lakh rupees for five of the nine who surrendered. Zonal commander Ravindra Yadav, who had a reward of 5 lakh rupees on his head, was among those who surrendered.
