Ranchi Student Found Dead in Rented Room: Police Investigate Suicide

A 21-year-old student, identified as Swati Kumari, was discovered dead in her rented room in the Hatia area of Ranchi, Jharkhand. She had arrived in Ranchi from Sasaram, Bihar on October 3rd and was a student at a private university in Ranchi, pursuing a BBA degree. The landlord alerted the Jagannathpur police after finding her. The police, along with the FSL team, took possession of the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination at RIMS hospital. The entire room was examined, but no suicide note was found. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, focusing on why the student took such a drastic step just two days after returning from her hometown. Police have seized her phone to examine call details and are also in contact with her family. This incident follows a similar event two months prior in the same police jurisdiction where a woman and her two children died by suicide.
