A major fire broke out in a transformer near the Argora Zonal Office in Ranchi on Thursday afternoon. The incident, which occurred around 12 noon, completely destroyed the transformer. Electricity department officials attributed the fire to a cable malfunction. They confirmed that the damaged transformer would be replaced promptly to minimize inconvenience to residents. Following the incident, the water supply to the area was disrupted.
