A mobile shop in Ranchi, Jharkhand, was targeted by thieves who made off with 28 iPhones. The incident occurred in the Kotwali police station area, where the thieves stole the latest iPhone models, valued at approximately 30 lakh rupees. The perpetrators reportedly surveyed the shop before carrying out the theft.

Shop owner Rahul Kumar Shukla reported that he had closed the shop for the night on Thursday. The thieves subsequently broke the shutter and entered the shop, stealing mobile phones and accessories worth around 30 lakh rupees. The entire operation was carried out by a group of six thieves. Shukla has filed an FIR with the Kotwali police station.

When the shop owner arrived at his store on Friday, he discovered that the shutter had been cut and the lock broken. Inside, he found that 28 mobile phones, including iPhones, were missing. The estimated value of the stolen phones is approximately 30 lakh rupees.

The victim has filed a complaint at the Kotwali police station, and the police have launched an investigation into the matter. CCTV footage from the area is being examined. Additionally, the police are employing other technical methods to apprehend the individuals involved in the theft.

This is not the first instance of theft in Ranchi. A few months prior to this incident, four criminals robbed the Jay Hind jewelry store located at Block Chowk in the Ormanjhi police station area, making off with jewelry worth approximately 12 lakh rupees, using the pretense of buying gold rings.
