Jawaharlal Nehru University once again finds itself in the eye of a political storm after left-leaning groups allegedly put up provocative, anti-India posters on campus. The ABVP has vehemently denounced these actions, labeling them as outright anti-national behavior.

Reports emerged of banners and wall writings featuring slogans that question national unity and promote separatist sentiments. ABVP members quickly mobilized, documenting the evidence and lodging formal complaints with campus security and the administration.

‘Leftist elements are poisoning the minds of students with their divisive propaganda,’ an ABVP spokesperson remarked. The group demands a thorough probe, disciplinary measures against culprits, and enhanced vigilance to curb such incidents.

This flare-up comes amid JNU’s history of ideological clashes, where left-dominated unions often clash with right-leaning outfits like ABVP. Students from various hostels reported discovering the materials early morning, prompting protests and chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ in response.

University officials have acknowledged the complaints and promised an inquiry. Meanwhile, social media is abuzz with reactions, amplifying calls for de-politicizing campuses. The controversy highlights persistent challenges in maintaining harmony in student politics.
