A four-year-old girl from Karnataka, Khadeera Banu, succumbed to rabies at a Bengaluru hospital on Tuesday, nearly four months after being bitten by a stray dog. The incident occurred in Davangere, Karnataka, where the girl was attacked by a stray dog in April. The attack resulted in severe facial and bodily injuries, necessitating immediate medical attention. Despite initial treatment at a local hospital and subsequent transfer to Bengaluru’s Rajiv Gandhi Hospital for advanced care, the girl’s condition worsened, ultimately leading to her death.
