Following a statement made by BJP MLA Ketki Singh regarding Akhilesh Yadav, Samajwadi Party (SP) workers protested at her residence in Lucknow. The protest, stemming from Singh’s comments about Yadav, particularly her remarks about ‘totis’ (taps), led to a strong reaction from her minor daughter, Vibhavari Singh. Vibhavari, addressing the protestors, stated that her mother was not present and warned them against any untoward behavior, implying severe consequences. The SP’s women’s wing, led by Neha Singh, organized the demonstration, carrying ‘totis’ as a symbolic gesture.

Ketki Singh had previously criticized Akhilesh Yadav, alleging that taps went missing from the Chief Minister’s residence when Yadav vacated it. She demanded that Yadav account for the missing items. Singh also commented on Yadav’s participation in a voter rights yatra in Bihar, suggesting he was seeking a change of pace. Singh is known for her bold and often controversial statements and has previously targeted Akhilesh Yadav.
