Bhagalpur witnessed a landmark event on Friday as the Silk Bhawan hosted a grand loan mela under PMEGP and PMFME schemes. Chaired by DM Dr. Naval Kishore Chaudhary, the camp facilitated swift loan approvals and on-the-spot disbursals, empowering numerous entrepreneurs to launch their ventures.
The venue was packed with officials such as the DDC, GM DIC, NEP Director, LDM, ADI Ambriish Anand, and bank representatives. Entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds queued up, their projects ranging from food processing units to innovative manufacturing setups, all poised for government-backed funding.
In a hands-on approach, DM Chaudhary distributed cheques directly, symbolizing administrative support. Speaking to the crowd, he outlined how these programs aim to shift youth from job hunters to employers. ‘Your passion is the fuel for Bhagalpur’s economic engine,’ he encouraged, motivating attendees to scale their businesses responsibly.
The DDC took the stage next, lauding banks for their proactive lending and emphasizing joint efforts between government and finance sectors. ‘Prompt approvals are vital for micro-industry boom,’ he declared, painting a vision of a robust industrial landscape driven by such partnerships.
Wrapping up, Project Manager Rakesh Kumar thanked everyone involved, pledging ongoing assistance from the department. This initiative underscores Bhagalpur’s push towards self-sustained growth, with loans set to spark a wave of new enterprises and job opportunities across the region.
