Uma Raghuvanshi, the mother of Raja Raghuvanshi, has vehemently demanded justice for her son, who was tragically murdered. She has called for the accused to be given the harshest punishment possible. ‘I want justice for my son. The accused should be hanged,’ she stated. She believes that more individuals were likely involved in the crime, suggesting that one person could not have orchestrated the entire incident alone. Speaking about her daughter-in-law, Sonam Raghuvanshi, Uma expressed the family’s initial happiness in welcoming her, without considering her past. The last time she spoke to them was on May 23rd, and she had no suspicions until the very end. Vipin Raghuvanshi, Raja’s brother, has also made new accusations against Sonam and alleged that she staged her surrender and that more than five people were involved in the crime. Four individuals, including Anand, have been taken into custody in connection with the case. Anand, along with Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, and Raj Singh Kushwaha, have been remanded for transit, with the Meghalaya Police set to further investigate the case. Authorities believe Sonam Raghuvanshi and Raj Kushwaha are the prime suspects. The victim, Raja Raghuvanshi, was allegedly killed during his honeymoon in Meghalaya. The post-mortem revealed that Raja Raghuvanshi sustained two head injuries. Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong confirmed the arrest of four individuals and is seeking one more suspect. Sonam had surrendered to the police, and all apprehended individuals will be brought to Shillong for further investigation.
