In a strategic dialogue at his official residence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with AI pioneers and executives on Thursday, gearing up for the India AI Impact Summit next month. The meeting underscored collaboration to boost innovations and propel the national AI Mission forward.

CEOs voiced strong backing for India’s self-sufficiency in AI tech, commending governmental support that aims to elevate the country to world-stage prominence.

Modi highlighted technology’s role in embracing progress across industries for India’s growth story. He pushed for indigenous tech deployment in critical domains to ensure sovereignty and efficiency.

The summit offers a golden window for businesses and individuals to explore opportunities and accelerate development, the PM asserted. Referencing UPI’s global acclaim, he envisioned replicating such success in AI.

With its vast population, cultural diversity, and democratic ethos, India commands confidence in its digital backbone worldwide. Modi urged the assembly to leverage this strength to influence and lead global AI initiatives.

Prioritizing data protection and inclusive tech access, the Prime Minister called for an AI landscape that’s open, equitable, and robust. No shortcuts on ethics, he firmly stated, while pushing investments in AI skills and nurturing homegrown talent that embodies national principles.

Participants hailed from tech giants like Zoho, LTI Mindtree, Netweb Technologies, academic powerhouses including IITs, and key IT ministers, forging a united front for responsible AI advancement.
