In a strategic session at the Amaravati secretariat, Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu meticulously reviewed the roadmap for the 2027 Godavari Pushkaralu, a 12-day celestial extravaganza from June 26 to July 7. Spanning Polavaram, Eluru, and four Godavari districts, the festival is set to draw an estimated 100 million pilgrims eager for the purifying dips in the sacred waters.

Naidu, after receiving priestly blessings, shared his elation at helming this event for the third time. The state machinery is ramping up with plans for 373 bathing ghats totaling nearly 10 kilometers, adding 139 fresh ones to the current 234. This massive expansion aims to accommodate the deluge of devotees seamlessly.

Directives flew thick and fast: complete Polavaram ahead of schedule, ensure inter-departmental synergy, and elevate the event to Kumbh Mela standards. Key attendees included Ministers Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Anita Narayan, Nimmala Ramanaidu, Vasamsetti Subhash, Kandula Durgesh, BC Janardhan Reddy, Chief Secretary Viyayanand, and DGP Harish Kumar Gupta.

Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu invoked ancient texts, stressing how Pushkaralu baths yield 12 years’ worth of river snans’ merits. As Dakshina Ganga, Godavari’s mythic aura rivals the Ganges, embedding it in India’s spiritual fabric. The coalition’s vision promises world-class organization, transforming the riverbanks into hubs of faith, festivity, and flawless execution.

This isn’t just a festival; it’s a testament to Andhra’s devotion and developmental prowess, poised to etch 2027 in the annals of religious history.
