Noida Authority is set to introduce 500 electric buses to improve public transport in Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Expressway area. The project, estimated at Rs 675 crore, is slated for completion within 250 days and will be implemented in phases. Two private companies have been selected following a tender process. The electric bus service will operate on 25 routes, including key inner-city routes and routes connecting to the Noida International Airport (Jewar). Proposed routes include Shashi Chowk to Ace City, Kasna Village to Sharda University, Tigri Gol Chakkar to Rajnigandha Chowk, Ek Murti Chowk to Gautam Buddha University, Botanical Garden to Sampurnam, and Dadri to Gautam Buddha University via Kasna. The annual operating cost is estimated at Rs 370 crore, with an expected annual revenue of Rs 145 crore from rent and advertising. Additionally, a new 30 km expressway connecting Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, and the future Jewar International Airport has been approved by the Central Government, aiming to reduce travel time and alleviate traffic congestion. This expressway will run parallel to the existing Noida-Greater Noida Expressway along the Yamuna River.
