A dynamic weather pattern is unfolding over northern India, driven by a persistent Western Disturbance. Hill states like Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal, and Uttarakhand have been battered by heavy snow and rain, while Punjab faced downpours.

Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan brace for scattered showers and gusty winds. As per expert insights, the system’s progression triggers northwest winds, slashing temperatures notably on Saturday mornings—down to as low as 8°C in spots.

A fresh disturbance looms, targeting key regions including Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, and beyond from January 26 onwards, peaking on the 27th and 28th. Expect intense snow in mountains and drizzle in lowlands.

Delhi-NCR escapes major warnings, though chillier conditions are imminent post-Republic Day. The influx of cold air from snow-clad hills will make plains feel the bite.

Weather officials recommend monitoring updates before travel, with extra caution for mountainous areas where conditions could worsen rapidly.
