AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has taken a swipe at the Mahagathbandhan, the coalition led by RJD and Congress, amidst speculation of a possible alliance for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. Owaisi quipped that the Mahagathbandhan shouldn’t lament post-election by saying, “Mummy, they stole our chocolate.” This remark came during an interview with NDTV, where he was questioned about his party’s potential partnership with the RJD-Congress led bloc. Owaisi has tasked his state party chief, Akhtarul Imam, to explore alliance possibilities. He also expressed concerns about the Election Commission allegedly implementing the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Bihar through new voter registration requirements, potentially disenfranchising citizens.
