A ceasefire violation by the Pakistani army has occurred on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistani forces initiated firing in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch. The firing from the Pakistani side was unprovoked. The Indian Army responded, matching the aggression. The military is currently on high alert along the Line of Control. Further details regarding the situation are awaited.

The ceasefire violation by Pakistan occurred amidst India’s Operation Sindoor. A day prior, on Monday, Indian Army personnel eliminated three terrorists during an encounter in the Kulgam area. Security forces had cordoned off the area, leading to the killing of the terrorists. The search operation is ongoing due to suspicions of more terrorists hiding in the area.
