Proceedings in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha resumed for the fourth consecutive day. Opposition parties have consistently demanded discussions on the revision exercise, filing adjournment motions daily since the monsoon session’s commencement. Protests have been ongoing at the Parliament steps, with opposition members alleging that the revision exercise is designed to manipulate voter rolls and delete votes in anticipation of upcoming assembly elections. In Bihar, Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav and MP Manoj Jha hinted at the possibility of a poll boycott. Key figures, including Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, DMK MP Kanimozhi, and Congress leaders Manickam Tagore and KC Venugopal, have participated in the ongoing protests.
