Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various development projects in Gaya, Bihar, with a combined value of approximately Rs 13,000 crore. Prior to the programs, he participated in a road show in the city. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha, accompanied the Prime Minister. Two trains were flagged off: the Amrit Bharat Express, connecting Gaya and Delhi, designed to enhance passenger comfort and safety, and the Buddhist Circuit Train, which will facilitate tourism and religious travel to key Buddhist sites. Addressing the public, PM Modi criticized the previous RJD government, describing their rule as an ‘era of darkness and red terror,’ citing a lack of development and opportunity. He highlighted the current government’s commitment to development in Gaya, including projects in energy, development, and health sectors, and emphasized the creation of new employment opportunities. He also inaugurated a hospital and research center to improve healthcare services and distributed keys to beneficiaries of the PM-Awas Yojana, providing houses with essential amenities and reiterating the government’s commitment to providing housing for all.
