Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has once again criticized the government and the Election Commission regarding the issue of alleged voter fraud. During a press conference, he presented evidence and made several accusations. Gandhi demonstrated how votes were reportedly deleted, specifically targeting Congress voters. He claimed that the Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar, is protecting those who have undermined Indian democracy. Gandhi presented evidence of deleted votes, including examples from the Aland constituency in Karnataka where attempts were made to remove over 6,000 votes. He described a case where a booth-level officer discovered his uncle’s vote had been deleted, and upon investigation, found a neighbor responsible. Gandhi highlighted a pattern of centralized vote deletion, noting that the filing process appeared to be automated, using mobile numbers from other states, with the clear intention of deleting voters associated with the Congress party. He cited instances where individuals, including a woman named Godabai, had their votes deleted without their knowledge. Another example given was of one individual deleting 12 votes in 14 minutes, and another individual filing two forms in 36 seconds. Gandhi asserted that he is receiving assistance from within the Election Commission.
