The issue of contract workers has heated up in Bihar ahead of the assembly elections. On Wednesday, police resorted to a lathi charge on contract workers associated with land surveying who had reached the BJP office in Patna to demand justice and their rights. Rahul Gandhi has now spoken out on this issue. Regarding the lathi charge, Rahul Gandhi wrote on X that instead of employment, they are met with batons, and instead of rights, they get atrocities. He stated that the youth of Bihar will show this government its true place this time, and the countdown has begun. The Congress party also wrote on X that contract workers in Bihar protested in front of the BJP office in Patna demanding their rights. The BJP called the police and got the protesters lathi-charged, injuring many workers. This incident shows that the Nitish Kumar government in the state and the Modi government at the center have become governments of atrocities, but this oppression will end soon, and the people of Bihar will set things right.
