The Rajasthan CID Intelligence unit has taken Hanif Khan, a Pakistani national, into custody in Jaisalmer. Khan is accused of transmitting classified information concerning the Indian Army to the Pakistani intelligence agency, ISI. A case has been filed under the State Secrets Act 1923. The investigation focused on the activities of 47-year-old Hanif Mir Khan, a resident of Basanpir Juni, Sadar police station, currently residing in Mohangarh, Jaisalmer. His contact with the Pakistani intelligence agency through social media raised suspicions. Khan, who hails from Bahla village near the India-Pakistan border, had easy access to border areas. Interrogation revealed possession of sensitive details regarding military installations and troop movements. Further, during Operation Sindoor, he allegedly shared information about troop movements with a Pakistani handler.
