In a decisive step to revamp Madhya Pradesh’s healthcare landscape, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla has mandated time-bound recruitment drives for doctors and paramedics. During an exhaustive review in the ministry, he asserted that robust staffing is the backbone of superior health services.

Shukla instructed continuous oversight of PSC and selection board recruitments, demanding priority clearance of all procedural hurdles. Filling ANM posts topped the agenda, alongside a detailed audit of models for specialist doctor hires to kickstart processes immediately.

Transforming community health centers into efficient first referral points hinges on specialist placements, Shukla noted, promising stronger maternal and infant care outcomes. Practical issues plaguing nursing educator recruitments prompted a review of regulations, with urgent directives to forward details to the general administration for quick resolutions.

Development status of medical colleges at Budhni, Mandla, Sagar, and Rewa came under scrutiny, with firm orders to wrap up revised sanction formalities within deadlines. This will pave the way for expanded academic and clinical facilities without hitches.

Focus sharpened on enhancing cancer care infrastructure in key cities like Rewa, Gwalior, and Jabalpur, ensuring equipment and setups are ready to offer localized, high-quality treatments. Review of CM Day Care Scheme urged priority proposals for cabinet nod to accelerate rollout.

Upgrades at sub-health and primary centers must not falter due to funding delays or apathy, Shukla warned, pushing for strict timelines. For new medical colleges in Budhni, Chhatarpur, and Damoh, he outlined comprehensive preparations including manpower hiring to meet NMC standards ahead of the next academic session.
